After hearing rave reviews about Il Pastaficio, my family and I finally decided to give it a try for dinner last night. Nestled in a cozy corner of Cos Cob, this unassuming hole-in-the-wall establishment exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the staff, particularly Timothy, who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. The ambiance was inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the pasta. Il Pastaficio undoubtedly boasts some of the freshest, most flavorful pasta on the East Coast. Each bite of the Linguine Al Sugo Di Pesce was a revelation, perfectly cooked to al dente perfection and bursting with the flavors of the sea. My wife indulged in the decadent Lasagna Tartufo, while my son devoured his Kids Pasta with tomato sauce, both of them thoroughly enjoying their meals. A small, family owned Italian restaurant with an open kitchen and a great variety of home made pastas which you can also choose to buy from their store. My favorite is Pasta with Ragu. If you like deserts there is a great selection as well of family recipes’ Dolci…. Salame chocolate is the one that we usually order to share... We have been many times and will return again.

How could you not rate Il Pastaficio 5 starts?! I immediately felt home as i walked into that place. Clean, cozy and welcoming. Federico, the owner is super nice, we also met Nicolò the chef and Roberta the store manager. The food is really good, definitely authentic Italian style. The dish of the day “pumpkin potato ravioli with ragú” was delicious!!!!! In reality we appreciated everything we tried: pesto fusilli, lasagna, salad, focaccia (bombbbb), salumi e formaggi. Let’s not forget one of the desserts i love the most that is so hard to find in the States: salame al cioccolato, sooooo yummy!!!!! Back to New York now but will definitely visit Il Pastaficio again and recommend it to my people.
